MTConnect

TechSolve is a founding member of the MTConnect foundation.

The MTConnect initiative was begun as a way to address the manufacturing industry’s need for a standard to help realize a seamless manufacturing pipeline from design to production.

MTConnect has designed an open communication standard for interconnectability that mirrors the success occurring in the information technology world. This allows devices, equipment, and systems to output data in an understandable format that can be read by any other device using the same standard format to read the data. The standard, MTConnect, is based on XML (Extensible Markup Language), which offers widely recognized and accepted flexible representation for exchanging semi-structured machine-readable data.

TechSolve is a member of MTConnect Technical Advisory Group and actively taking a role in the development and enhancement of MTConnect standards. TechSolve has incorporated MTConnect standards into their Smart Machine Platform Initiative (SMPI) testbed and continue to work closely with AMT. Several of TechSolve’s engineers participate in working groups that are focused on MTConnect enhancement.
