TechSolve’s Cincinnati facility features the M. Eugene Merchant Technology Development Center – a fully instrumented machining lab equipped for turning, milling, drilling, grinding, boring, broaching, and advanced machining technology processes. Our independent, unbiased test results are seen as a key differentiator in many companies’ new product development processes.
For those companies ready to push the envelope of machining technology, our engineers apply both science and practical experience to the development of new products and validation of product performance claims. Our project experience in this area ranges from designing new tool geometries for individual companies to development of the Smart Machine Platform Initiative (SMPI) testbed, the goal of which is to bring about the realization of “First Part Correct” manufacturing capabilities and technologies.

TechSolve’s Part Cost Reduction services combine TechSolve’s nationally recognized machining expertise with a powerful, proprietary software that provides detailed machining analysis and modeling to identify the hidden, high-cost part features. The software permits design engineers to distinguish both the material and the machining production costs that will help them avoid costly part designs, cut lead times, and either meet or beat budget targets.
Our Part Cost Reduction process empowers sourcing managers by providing them with the part cost on which suppliers should be basing their prices. TechSolve is also uniquely positioned to confirm the software’s recommended part design changes in its M. Eugene Merchant Technology Development Center.
