To deliver content-rich sessions during the upcoming Cybersecurity Bootcamp on Wednesday, February 17, TechSolve gathered a regional lineup of cybersecurity thought leaders who are passionate about yourcybersecurity.

Throughout the morning, attendees will learn from and interact with speakers through breakout sessions that focus on the latest cyber regulations and mitigation strategies that must be considered to protect your company and employees. Attendees will share thoughts and hear from other manufacturing leaders during dedicated breaks, and Q&A.

JONATHAN THEDERS

Jonathan is the CEO of RiskSOURCE Clark-Theders, a Cincinnati based firm with additional offices in Knoxville, TN and Hillsboro, OH focused on risk management and insurance solutions business and personal clients.  Celebrating over 40 years and founded on guidance, service and trust, Jonathan is a second-generation leader. He believes that insurance alone is never enough and works hard to be an outsourced risk manager for clients and deliver beyond insurance approaches to their risk. Jonathan graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a BS degree in Insurance and Risk Management with a minor in General Business.

Streamlining Your Cybersecurity Operations

SERGE KIKONDA

Serge Kikonda serves as a Cybersecurity Analyst for TechSolve.  Serge graduated from the University of Cincinnati with degrees in IT Cybersecurity, Computer Networking and Computer System Support. Since joining TechSolve, he has been conducting cybersecurity and DFARS audits for manufacturing clients. Using his technical writing skills, knowledge and in-depth understanding of the NIST and CMMC regulatory requirements, Serge also provides guidance, recommendations and training to manufacturing clients on how to get to full regulatory compliance.

Understanding and Managing Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)

GENE JONES

Gene Jones is a Manufacturing Business Development Consultant for Purdue MEP.  In this capacity, Gene manages a DoD grant that is focused on educating Indiana small businesses about DoD cybersecurity contracting requirements and helping them comply with this demanding set of controls.  Previously at Purdue, he was the Managing Director of Purdue’s VACCINE (Visual Analytics for Command, Control, and Interoperability Environments) Center, and when he was still on active duty in the US Navy, Gene was the Commanding Officer of the Purdue Naval ROTC unit. Immediately following his naval career, Gene worked for Caterpillar for several years as a New Product Introduction Team Lead. Gene served our country for most of his career as an officer with the Navy, serving on three different submarines. He holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University, a Master’s degree in Management for Organizational Effectiveness from Marymount University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science from the U.S. Naval Academy.

HR Policies with Cybersecurity in Mind

REBECCA JACOBS + WESLY ALIG

Rebecca Jacobs has 24 years of experience as an employment law attorney.  She also serves as an adjunct lecturer at the Ohio State University Fisher College of Business where Rebecca teaches three employment law classes for graduate and undergraduate students.  As a litigation attorney, Rebecca defended employers against claims under Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, and Ohio laws. She tried cases in federal and state courts and handled charges before the EEOC and OCRC. She is passionate about helping companies attempt to avoid litigation in the first place through compliance and training. Rebecca has extensive experience in completing consulting projects for employers in HR compliance, policy development, and performance management. As the Director of Member Professional Support and Development at ERA, Rebecca supports members by managing a wide variety of HR questions on ERA’s hotline, facilitating monthly roundtables and handling special projects for ERA members, including FMLA and HR check-ups, HR policies and procedures and handbook reviews.

WESLY ALIG

Wes is the Cybersecurity Program Manager at TechSolve where he is responsible for the design and implementation of products and services for IT and OT cybersecurity compliance for TechSolve’s clients.  He is a Registered Practitioner under the CMMC-AB and provides guidance for compliance with CMMC.  Wes also has the Security+ and CySA+ certifications through CompTIA.  Prior to joining TechSolve, Wes served as Managing Counsel at American Honda Motor Co., Inc. where, among other duties, he was responsible for administering the Confidentiality, Privacy and Document Retention policies.  Wes has over 20 years of experience working with various technologies at large manufacturing companies in his role as a patent attorney.

A Proactive Approach to Cybersecurity and the Role of a Managed Service Provider

BENNY RUSSERT

As a Managed Services Specialist at Prosource, Benny Russert oversees the cybersecurity strategy and implementation processes for solution stacks within Prosource’s diverse customer base of 4,500+ organizations operating in various industry verticals. Benny and the cybersecurity team work closely with clients to assess their overall cyber posture and risk tolerance to right-size their solutions, maximize the impact of their IT investment, and position their business for future growth. Prior to joining the Prosource team, Benny worked as an analyst in the middle-market private equity sector, structuring and leading diligence for more than 50 M&A transactions in the manufacturing, financial technology, and real estate verticals. Benny graduated from the College of Charleston in South Carolina with a degree in International Business and Finance and a focus in business strategy and process improvement.

Rob Longfellow is the Director of Industrial IoT Solutions at TechSolve, Inc. For over 30 years, Rob has helped manufacturers access the data they need to optimize technology solutions that drive business growth. Rob leads implementation of data collection and secure connectivity solutions for many of the nation’s top Defense manufacturers and small businesses alike.  Throughout his career, he has developed solutions for engineering, manufacturing and sales groups that streamline and automate processes while delivering actionable information for strategic and tactical decisionmakers. His skills in manufacturing, software development and business development enable him to guide the IIoT Solutions group in building out TechSolve’s extensive portfolio of adapters and software solutions for factory floor reporting and automation.

Tools for Monitoring Your Company's Cyber Risks

Glen Nesbit

Glen serves as the SOC Supervisor at Total Quality Logistics with over 20 years of information technology experience with 10 years of direct cybersecurity support.  He has implemented and managed security solutions for the Department of Defense, the education sector, and industrial manufacturing organizations. Glen is an EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker and has a Security+ certification through CompTIA. Prior to joining the TechSolve Team, he served as the Global Cybersecurity Operations Managers at Cummins, Inc. and as a Cybersecurity Analyst for the US Army.  Glen is excited to help manufacturers protect themselves and their businesses by using what they already have to improve their security.
